Description

Delicious buttery croissant rolls that are a delightful treat perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g flour
  • 10g salt
  • 30g sugar
  • 10g yeast
  • 200ml warm water
  • 200g butter, at room temperature

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast ensuring the yeast is well incorporated.
  2. Gradually add warm water and knead the dough until smooth and homogeneous.
  3. Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place for 60 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread butter over the top two-thirds.
  5. Fold the dough like a letter, sealing the edges.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Repeat the folding process twice more.
  8. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  9. Shape the dough into triangles and roll from the base to the tip to form croissants.
  10. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For storage, keep at room temperature for 1-2 days or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
