A creamy and savory chestnut and chickpea hummus, perfect for holiday gatherings and easy to prepare.
Ingredients

- 200g cooked chestnuts
- 100g chickpeas (canned or cooked)
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- Sweet paprika or cayenne pepper for garnish
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients.
- In a blender, combine 200g of cooked chestnuts and 100g of drained chickpeas. Blend until smooth.
- Add 2 tablespoons of tahini, juice of one lemon, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, and salt to taste. Blend again until well combined.
- If the hummus is too thick, add a bit of water or chickpea cooking juice to reach desired consistency.
- Transfer the hummus to a bowl, garnish with paprika or cayenne pepper and a drizzle of olive oil. Serve with fresh veggies or toasted bread.
Notes
For perfectly creamy hummus, roast chestnuts at 180°C for 25 minutes before blending.
