- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- Additional cinnamon and coconut sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a saucepan, combine the water, coconut oil, and vanilla extract, bringing it to a boil while mixing well.
- Once boiling, add the dry mixture and stir vigorously until a homogeneous dough forms.
- Remove from heat and let the dough cool for a few minutes.
- Add the egg to the dough and mix until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag and form small bites on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them adequately.
- Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and coconut sugar for a sweet touch.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden and slightly crispy on the outside.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Store churro bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
