A delicious and easy-to-make gratin of sweet potatoes layered with melty cheese and fresh herbs.
Ingredients

- 4 sweet potatoes
- 200 g grated Gruyère cheese
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 300 ml heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into thin rounds.
- In a bowl, mix the cream, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, layer sweet potatoes, top with cream mixture and Gruyère.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
- Bake for about 45 minutes until golden and tender.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Fresh herbs make a significant difference in flavor. If you don’t have thyme or sage, Italian seasoning works as a substitute.
