Description

A delicious, oversized chocolate chip cookie that is crispy on the edges and chewy in the center, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 125 g butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 200 g chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix well.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamy mixture and blend until incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Form a large dough ball and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Flatten the ball slightly to form a disk.
  9. Bake for about 15-18 minutes until the edges are golden and the center remains soft.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Store the cookie in an airtight container for 3-5 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge. It can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
