Instructions

  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  6. If desired, fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 60 minutes.
