Ingredients

  • 500g mirabelles
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g sugar
  • 250g mascarpone
  • 100g maïzena
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 300ml milk
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease a clafoutis dish with butter.
  3. Wash and pit the mirabelles.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  5. Add the mascarpone and whisk until well combined.
  6. Fold in the maïzena and baking powder.
  7. Gradually add the milk while stirring until the mixture is smooth.
  8. Place the pitted mirabelles in the bottom of the greased dish.
  9. Pour the batter over the mirabelles to cover them.
  10. Bake for about 40 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the mixture is lump-free and consider adding a touch of vanilla for extra flavor.
