- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, spooned and leveled
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- For the cookie layer: In a bowl, mix the melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir in the chocolate chips.
- For the brownie layer: Melt the butter and mix it with cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and light brown sugar.
- Pour the brownie mixture over the cookie layer, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
