Description

A delightful combination of gooey brownies and crunchy cookies, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.


Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 100g butter
  • 200g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • 125g butter (for cookie layer)
  • 100g sugar (for cookie layer)
  • 1 egg (for cookie layer)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200g flour (for cookie layer)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda (for cookie layer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. In a saucepan, melt 100g of dark chocolate and 100g of butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, mix 200g of sugar and 2 eggs until creamy.
  4. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the bowl, stirring to combine.
  5. Incorporate 100g of flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, and a pinch of salt, mixing gently.
  6. Add 100g of chocolate chips to the brownie mixture.
  7. In a separate bowl, cream 125g of butter with 100g of sugar until light and fluffy.
  8. Add 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 200g of flour, and 1/2 tsp baking soda, mixing until just combined.
  9. In a lined baking dish, spread the brownie batter, then layer the cookie dough on top.
  10. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden on top and slightly gooey in the center.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
