Description

Delicious oat caramel bars with golden layers of oats, creamy caramel, and smooth milk chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup caramel (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup milk chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, brown sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  4. While the base is baking, melt the caramel over low heat until smooth.
  5. Once baked, remove the oat base from the oven and spread the warm caramel over it.
  6. Melt the milk chocolate and pour it over the caramel, spreading it evenly.
  7. Let everything cool to room temperature, then cut into bars and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
